MWD Engineer

- Position Overview:
As an MWD (Measurement While Drilling) Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and measuring equipment during drilling operations. This includes installing sensors, testing equipment and computer systems, and ensuring accurate communication of measured data to colleagues and clients. The role requires travel to various locations across Europe and other countries. Safety, strong communication skills, and technical expertise are essential. You will work closely with a Senior Engineer for guidance and support.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Install and test sensors and computer systems to measure downhole parameters during drilling operations
- Monitor and record measurements while drilling
- Ensure accurate data collection and communication to colleagues and clients
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, effective communication, and technical proficiency
- Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers for guidance and support
- Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Petrochemistry, Geology, or related technical field is preferred
- 1 to 3 years of experience as an MWD Engineer
- EU Work permit preferred
- Proficiency in English
- Strong skills in communication, arithmetic, troubleshooting, and data management
- Ability to work irregular hours, including 12-hour shifts at drilling sites
- Work Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts at drilling sites, with breaks (Day shifts typically handled by Senior Engineers; night shifts by Junior Engineers.)
- Rotational work schedule, commonly 2 weeks on-site followed by 2 weeks off, subject to change based on business needs
- Employment Details:
- Start Date: 1st Quarter of 2025
- Probation Period: 3 months
- Contract Duration: 12 months, Fixed Term
- Irregular working hours
