MWD Engineer

We provide Engineering and Directional Drilling services to the drilling industry, with a specific focus on the “hot and trendy” geothermal market. As an MWD Engineer you will be responsible for measuring equipment in the ground during drilling. For this you will have to be in locations that can vary throughout Europe, and other countries as well. It is your job to ensure that all sensors are installed, the equipment and computer systems are tested and the data that is measured is properly communicated to your colleagues and the customer. Working safely, good communication and technical qualities are a must in this position. You will be supported by your Senior Engineer colleague.

Completion of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Petrochemistry, Geology or other technical training is considered a plus for this position.

Previous MWD experience of 1 to 3 years required.

English language is required. Skills such as communication, arithmetic, troubleshooting and data management must be of a high standard.

Working hours of shifts at the drilling site are 12 hours per day with breaks. The Senior Engineer normally does the day shift while a junior Engineer is responsible for the night shift. Work rotation is discussed between you and the team, normally this is, for example, 2 weeks on location and 2 weeks at home. Work rotation can change based on the business workload at that time.

Your probation period will be 3 months.
